Angry Food For Longer Life?

Good news for fans of bitter food - researchers at the College of Medicine Larner, University of Vermont found a link between eating hot peppers and living longer.

According to the report, Professor of Medicine and Benjamin Litenberg medical student Mustafa Chopan analyzed a 23 year national survey of health and nutrition, which encompassed 16,000 Amerikanci and observed 13% reduction in total mortality in those who consistently ate chili peppers.

Although Litenberg Chopan and recognize that eating bitter foods is far from definitive reason for the reduction of mortality, they believe that it can serve as prevention of deaths associated with obesity. The report's authors also believe that kapsicinot, ie the active ingredient which has red chili peppers, acts as an antimicrobial and helps fight bacteria and viruses in the body.

Chopan says study with red chili peppers should be used for a future research in the form of clinical trials, the results could potentially help us live longer.
